New Board - First Meeting
Thank you for participating in our July 7th Board Meeting.

To help protect our beautiful oak trees, please avoid pruning any oaks between February 1st and August 31st — unless it’s an emergency.
Why? This is peak season for sap beetles that spread oak wilt. Pruning wounds attract them.
Emergency cuts? Paint the wound immediately with latex or wound paint, and sterilize tools between trees.
Best time to prune: Late fall to mid-winter (September through January) — when trees are dormant and beetles are inactive.
✅ Healthy trees = a healthy neighborhood.

Prevent Oak Wilt from spreading! Avoid pruning oak trees between February and June, unless it is causing damage or is dangerous. Seal wounds with paint from pruning or breaks immediately.
